GUIDANCE FOR YOU WHO ARE NEW & FIRST TIME USERS OF STREAMLINE GMDH SOFTWARE

First of the First

Many of you after downloading Streamline GMDH software do not know how to get started.

What is the first thing to do and what to be prepared to be able to use this software and get the benefit from it?

Very early step before you run this software, ideally you should know 3 points that reflect your company’s internal processes or data. The remaining 3 points reflect your own readiness

Process

Knowing the process is the first thing to do to determine the scope of the implementation of this software. Map your processes based on their implementation scale plan (enterprise scale, plant scale or product division only). Next determine the Input, Process & Output (IPO) section on the scale you have specified

Product

Each set implementation scale is useful for determining which products will be used as a basis for determining which are raw materials, which are WIP and which are the final products. This is closely correlated with the preparation of the bill of materials if indeed between the three categories of materials are related to each other based on a certain proportion.

Data

The next step is how to understand the data. All the data needed are sales history data and current inventory position. If you are the first time to interact with this software, then aggregate data will be better. But if you have an ERP system or something like that, it doesn’t matter if you use historical details that are connected directly from your database..

Basic Knowledge S&OP

Sales and operations planning (S&OP) is a popular process that aligns your company’s diverse functions while balancing supply and demand. S&OP gives you a comprehensive overview of the business & allows you to continuously match high-level strategy with day-to-day operational tactics in all departments. Simply put, the goal is to keep everything in balance.

Menus Structure

Knowing the structure of menus of this software is very important, glossary and the meaning of menus. You should know how menus organized and workflow of this software. As a system, streamline consist of 3 big sections, forecasting, inventory and data management. Better understanding make easier to use it.

Supports

Knowing how the software company’s give support. What the support channel they usually use. If they have local support, make communication with their team. You will get continuous support. How you used some reference such tutorials, videos, webinar etc. Use them properly to enhance your capacity to use this software.
